AirDroid Business Lock Device enables you to protect your controlled devices by setting a PIN Code remotely so others cannot operate beyond the lock screen.
To enable the Lock Device feature, please follow the guide below:
1. Go to Devices>Select the group of the device under Device List>Click on the device you want to lock.
2. If you never set a lock screen method for the device, you will have to set a PIN code to lock the device.
3. If a lock screen method has been set for the device before, you will have two options to lock the device.
Option 1: You can click on Lock to lock down your device while using the original screen lock method. A user can use the original way to unlock the device.
Option 2: You can change the screen lock method for your device. Click on Change password and lock the device. This method will change the original lock method to PIN lock with the PIN code set by you (This feature may not be available on Android 7 and higher versions).
The Lock Device feature will change the system lock screen method after the process is completed. As a result, if the user or admin wants to change the lock screen method back to the original, please visit the setting and change manually.
4. After clicking on Lock, please wait a few seconds to complete the process.
Please don't refresh the Admin Console page until the process is completed.
5. After this window shows, the Lock Device process is completed.
You can also view the execution status of the device lock in the Activity Log.
Please note, according to the system limitation, this feature might not able to function normally on Android 11 and above. Our development team is working on the possible solution and improvement actively, please log into the admin console and keep an eye on our patch update news.
