The Knox Service Plugin (KSP) is Samsung's OEMConfig application, enabling enterprises to access and utilize all Knox management features on the AirDroid Business admin console immediately upon Samsung device enrollment. For more details, you may refer to this article.
With Samsung Knox Service Plugin (KSP), ensures IT admins can deploy the latest Knox features to corporate devices, granting greater control over the distribution and configuration of KPE features.
Requirements:
- Bind your AirDroid Business account with your Gsuite/company email in the Admin Console. If you have not bind with your Gsuite/company email, please refer to this article.
- Enroll your Samsung devices with the Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment (KME). If you have not enrolled your Samsung devices with the KME, please refer to this article.
- Samsung device running Knox version 3.2.1 (Android 9.0) and above
Note: For your Samsung devices enrolled with the Enrollment via Device Owner, the KSP app is supported from the Knox version 3.0 (Android 8.0) and above.
To configure and deploy the Samsung Knox Service Plugin (KSP), there are two methods available: Add the KSP app from the AMS and Configure the KSP app from the Policy & Kiosk. Please follow the instructions below to configure the KSP app properly.
Add the Knox Service Plugin (KSP) app from the Managed Google Store
1. From Admin Console > Select Apps > Click App Library > Choose Managed Google Play Store > Tap +Add app
2. Search for Knox Service Plugin and click on Select to proceed the next step.
3. Select your devices to release the KSP app on Test Release and Formal Release. Please also check Release History on Version Update and see if the device installed the app.

4. Then, you can tap on the Configuration icon to manage the KSP app settings.
5. You can enter the Configuration name and set all kinds of further limitations and settings for Samsung devices, such as app management policies and NFC Policies.
6. You can apply the KSP settings to specific devices/groups in the global settings.
Note: If you also configured the KSP app in Policy config on the same devices, it will override the KSP settings on the Managed Google Play store.
7. You can check the status in the Release History section and make sure the KSP app was installed properly.
Configure the Knox Service Plugin (KSP) app from the Policy & Kiosk
1. Go to Policy & Kiosk > Choose Policy & Kiosk Config Files > Choose and edit an existed config or click + Create Config File
2. From here, you can set all kinds of limitations and settings for your config files. Click OEMConfig > click + Add App.
3. Select Knox Service Plugin > click OK
4. You can enter the Configuration name and set all kinds of further limitations and settings for Samsung devices, such as app management policies and NFC Policies.
5. You can also configure the Power On/Off settings for the Samsung devices.
6. If you want to incorporate the Policy with Kiosk mode, please click Kiosk Activation, choose Open, and complete the setting just like editing a Kiosk Config File.
7. After the config is set up, you can click + Add to apply the config file to a device or a group under the general information of a config file.
8. After applying the config file to devices, you can check the status in the History section and make sure the configuration was applied properly.
Note: If you do not release the Knox Service Plugin (KSP) app on the Managed Google Play Store for your Samsung devices, you are required to install the KSP app to take effect in AMS. For more details, please refer to this section.
