[Guide] How to create a Presentation on my devices?

Presentation enables you to import files from the Media Library to run Screensaver or Digital Signage Mode on your Android devices according to your operation. If you do not upload files on Media Library yet, please refer to this article.

Note: You are required to purchase the Content Management plan to use this feature. For more details, please contact success@airdroid.com. To use the Presentation feature, please update to AirDroid Biz Daemon version 1.4.8.0 and above.

When you deployed the presentation task, the Showcase app should be installed automatically on your devices only under the Wi-Fi network. It will take several minutes to complete the process. If it does not install automatically, please refer to this article.

For Android devices enrolled with Device Owner, Android Enterprise, Samsung KME or Zero Touch, the storage permission will be obtained automatically after deploying the task. If your devices are running Android 11 or above, please refer to this section to manually obtain the File Management permission.

To create a Screensaver Mode or Digital Signage Mode for your Android devices, follow the steps below:

1. From Admin Console > Select Workbench > Presentation > Tap + Create Presentation under Screensaver Mode or Digital Signage Mode.

If you previously created a presentation mode, tap + Create Presentation > select Screensaver Mode or Digital Signage Mode.

2. You can enter Task name and tap + Import from Media Library to add your files.

3. You can check the files you wish to display and tap OK to proceed. 

4. Then, you can adjust the duration of showing each file. You can also check the file you wish to delete by tapping the trash icon.

Note: Video files are not supported for the duration settings.

5. You can adjust the Download requirement, File Save Path and select whether to replace the existing file if needed accordingly.

6. In Screensaver Mode settings, you can set if the behavior of touching/clicking action, Lock Screen Orientation, when to start the Screensaver Mode and Time settings to execute this task.

Note: To run the Screensaver Mode properly, please make sure to set the lock screen of your device as "None".

In Digital Signage Mode settings, you can set the Lock Screen Orientation and Time settings to execute this task.

7. You can select the designated device or groups to apply the Screensaver Mode or Digital Signage Mode.

Note: You may receive a prompt to notify you the Showcase app will be automatically installed on the device.

7. After publishing the presentation task, you can check the settings, details, update or delete the task.

1. Name: You can check the current settings of this presentation task.

2. Details:  The presentation task sending history can be checked here.

3. Update: Click it to adjust the presentation mode settings and re-apply to your devices.

4. Delete: Delete the chosen presentation task.

Then, you should be able to view the selected presentation mode according to your settings. For devices running on Android 11 or above, please refer to the instruction below.

To manually obtain the File Management permission, please tap Get Permission and grant this permission for the Showcase app.
